TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, WASHINGTON
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS SOUTH PRAIRIE GRAVEL STREET AND CRACK SEALING PROJECT

Town of South Prairie, Washington (Owner) is requesting Bids for the work described below. Bids for construction of the Project will be received by the Owner via electronic submission only, until 11:00 AM, May 21, 2024 local time (per Town clock located at South Prairie Town Hall). Send bids to clerk@townofsp.com with subject line: “SOUTH PRAIRIE GRAVEL STREET AND CRACK SEALING PROJECT”. A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders, and posted on the website.  This project will provide street facility improvements, including the following:
•    Regrading +/-6,500 SY of gravel roadway
•    Supplying, spreading and compacting approximately 1,000 TONS of crushed surfacing top course.
•    Applying high float emulsion asphalt to approximately 6,000 SY of graveled roadway
•    Crack Sealing approximately 2,200 LF of roadway

The BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be viewed at the following locations: Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Town of South Prairie".   This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool.  It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. The content available through bxwa.com is our property or the property of our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Access to project documents is intended for use by bidders (general contractors/prime bidders, subcontractors and suppliers), agency personnel and agency’s consultants, as well as for personal, noncommercial, use by the public. You may display or print the content available for these uses only. "Harvesting" (downloading, copying, and transmitting) of any project information and/or project documents for purposes of reselling and/or redistributing information by any other party is not allowed by BXWA.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of South Prairie.

The project is being funded with state funds. Engineer’s estimate range is between $75,000 and $125,000.
